Bit surprised to see Japan really pushing on the whaling front:

After all the attention the issue has had over the past couple of decades, is it really possible that we're now slowly moving to some countries practicing commercial whaling?

God, I hope not!

However, Japan is known for having a tradition in whaling. They even developed a "scientific" whaling  Huh programme.

Thanks for the link anyway. It was an interesting article.

That was an interesting read. I do hope they'll give more thought to it before they move forward with any plans.
