Hello there.  Cheesy I have seen it has becomes a common thing that websites are publishing RSS feed for their website. This has helps the site in getting the words out, and in some case, it has able to draw some visitors who find the feed or informattion to be useful, and hence visited the main site thu the link.

How has your experience in this "traffic" tool? Have you also been publishing your own RSS feed out ? What's the traffic rate like from your RSS feed? anyone willing to share?

My answer is yes to this question too. About 12% of my traffic comes from RSS. And that's a lot, believe me! The rest is driven by google, yahoo, msn and aol search. So RSS is a good idea.

Hi Pamil, thanks for sharing. My main site is currently a forum. So I am wondering what about the possibility of setting up RSS for forum site? Well, my site is not yet enjoying a good activities rate, and there has been very little posting by memners at the moment.

Any good option to get my forum site out to the world?? Anyone willing to help advise me?

Well, RSS for forums... hmm... don't think so. Why don't you create a blog to announce the hot topics and comment them a little? That could work. Just host the blog on the same domain and ping technocrati and other blog resources.

Include the forum link in your signature and try some link exchange with other forums as well.

Post your comments in blogs and include a link there too...

How do you put an RSS feed on a site or a blog?  Does anyone have a resource that I can go and read about this?

Yes..I would like to know as well. I am new to this RSS feed thing..For example, can I post an article I have written on an RSS feed with my email address at the bottom of the article and this directs them to my site? Is this one way to do it?
