Do you have set goals when you begin a marketing campaign?

Sure we do. Why else should we begin a marketing campaign?
For example, next month my goal is to increase the customer base for one of my clients - a German LED luminaries manufacturer. The company has a new LED wall washer for architectural lighting. So I'll write a press release and send a newsletter. (opt in)

I am expecting at least 1000 new visitors each day after this campaign, or a minimum of 20 new online inquiries each day.
So... let's see.

well... it did work - for two or three days. Then the traffic was decreased... The problem is the website. It's a mess. People don't really find it trustworthy. I suggested a re-design and the client embraced the idea. The company has great products, but a bad online marketing so far. Well... I'll change that! And a new, user friendly website is the right step.

That's a shame.

How long do you think it will be before the website redesign is complete.

The website - English version - is online now. Well... since Monday. I'd like to give you a link to see it, but it will look like advertising. Sad

Anyway, we've got great feedback since Monday. Clients are really happy with the layout, info, etc.

Excellent news. What other language(s) will the site be in?

German. I guess I'll have it online by Monday. It's featured on my website as "site of the month" .
The clients have great response already. Three very important inquires from big architecture design companies came in last week. I am really happy!

Most of my marketing goals deal with what I intend to complete marketing-wise, not the expected return.  I have no way of knowing that beforehand really.  I do make daily goals of what I want to do to market my sites though.
